Besides the core subjects, I also work with students on their social and assertiveness skills and issues around anger management and self-esteem. I am happy to spend time with parents discussing ways to support learning and build confidence at home.
I am set up to tutor in my home which is close to downtown Nanaimo.
I am a retired, B.C. teacher with 25 years experience in elementary and Jr. High Alternate School teaching. I love teaching and children and have had success helping students to overcome obstacles in their learning, behavior and reationships at school. I also help students to catch up and keep up when they have fallen behind in their subjects. I am currently taking students.
